Visit to American Museum and Gardens

The American Museum is the only museum outside the United States to showcase the decorative arts of America. 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the American Declaration of Independence and you can follow the America 250 trail inside the manor house and gardens.

The visit will include a guided tour of the museum and then enable members to enjoy the Kith and Kin exhibition, American stories decorative arts, folk art and textiles, and the gardens at their leisure.

The first guided tour starts at 11.30am for 12 people and the second at 12.30pm. I suggest people arrive between 11am and 11.15am. There is ample parking on site and good disabled access.

There is a café where you can purchase coffee and lunch or you may take a picnic. There are plenty of seating areas outside or under cover.

We are not arranging transport for this visit. Please make your own way there. It takes just over an hour from Cirencester. If some of you wish to share lifts and want help arranging this please contact me. 

The cost of this visit is £19.75 to include entrance and the tour. There is a reduction for RHS members so that they pay £11. If you are a member please indicate this on the booking form and pay the correct amount. You MUST bring your RHS membership card with you or you will be charged the difference.
